Oh Hi Austin!
Do you ever wish you were in the room when magic happens? In the room for when Beethoven wrote his symphonies. when Shakespeare wrote his classics, When Cher sings anything. Well now is your chance (kinda). Brace yourself for my female Book of Mormon. I can’t sing or play music. But I did grow up on Sister Act 1 and 2 to know a hit when I see one. This is a work in progress for an epic one woman show.
I'm Luisa, I'm a comedian from London. I have an idea for a musical, a show all about Mary Magdalene, about love, community, orgasms, and how billionaires ruin everything... but with sing alongs. I have spent over a decade performing stand up shows at Edinburgh Festival, and have toured the world performing. But coming to Austin this year, felt like this is the perfect city to develop a unique, special and lil different kinda comedy show.
I present....God is a Woman the Musical. I have ten dates at Coldtowne Theatre, 10 shows to get this one woman idea Broadway pitch ready and I need YOUR help to develop it.
I have faith. So come along, tell your friends, spread the good word!!
Come join me throughout Nov and December.
‘She should be a household name’ **** (Evening Standard).
‘She wrote the stand-up hit of the decade’ (Guardian).
‘A trailblazer’ (Scotsman).
